Pick-up and drop-off
Our pick-up and drop-off areas are located undercover on the ground floor of the short stay car park and in the long stay car park. For safety reasons passengers should not be dropped off or picked up on airport roads.
Pick-up and drop-off locations
Priority pick-up and drop-off
Priority pick-up and drop-off is available just one minute walk from the main terminal in the short stay car park. Passengers who choose this option will be charged a £2 fee for 15 minutes.
How does it work?
Passengers simply take a ticket upon entry and then use this ticket again to exit for £2 within the first 15 minutes. Passengers can pay the £2 either at any of the existing pay stations in the car park or by driving directly to the exit barriers and using the integrated cash coin drop or by credit or debit card using contactless or chip and pin.
The exit barrier payment machines will accept 10p, 20p, 50p, and £1 and £2 coins. These machines will not offer change.
Please note: Postcode accuracy on satellite navigation systems is variable. Please follow the relevant signage on arrival to the airport. Some satellite navigation systems will direct drivers onto the airport forecourt – this is a restricted area, please read the signs that will direct you to the car park.
Please drop off responsibly
Dropping off passengers in unauthorised areas creates a risk both to the safety of passengers and other road users, as well as causing congestion and disruption to traffic.
An £80.00 enforcement charge is payable by drivers who stop their vehicles to drop off and pick up passengers outside of the Short Stay and Long Stay car parks.
This charge is reduced to £50.00 if paid within 14 days.
This will be strictly enforced with cameras.
Blue Badge Holders and Special Assistance
Blue Badge parking is available in the short stay car park opposite the terminal and in the long stay car park close to the shuttle bus stops A and B. Find out more about blue badge parking at Southampton Airport.
Blue Badge pick-up and drop-off is available in the short stay car park. Passengers with a valid blue badge can take a ticket as they enter the short stay car park and use the Priority pick-up and drop-off area. They will then need to follow the signs for the car park exit and stop in the unpaid ticket bays that are located just prior to the car park exit on the ground floor. Passengers must present a valid Blue Badge to the car park office situated directly opposite this area to receive 30 minutes for £2.
